As I'm watching the cute family movie on Saturday night "walking with dinosaurs. " Each ad segment contains seductive gambling advertising - fireworks and suggestions of winning the completion and the like.
Now I'm no wowser and have been known to buy the odd lottery ticket.
My beef is with the timing.
An R18 activity such as gambling should be restricted to later evening scheduling.
This would limit many children seeing R18 activities.
Gambling providers should be held accountable just as alcohol advertisers are.
As a psychologist I'm concerned we are conditioning our youngsters impressionable minds and feel a duty to say so.
